Luljeta Përbasha a while ago addressed a call to all Albanians to help her. The famous singer of the ’70s-80s, forgotten by today’s society, was living in complete misery. After the publication of the story by “Fundjavë Ndryshe”, the reaction was immediate. There were many donors who contributed to Luljeta, but as she is, her story is very special. Contrary to what we are used to, where most donors are Albanians, this time it was different.
The new home for Luljeta and her family was made possible mainly by donations made by people of different nationalities. The amount collected from the documentary broadcast by Tv Arte and DW for “Fundjavë Ndryshe” was donated to Luljeta Përbasha. The donors were German, Austrian, Swiss, French. A gesture that best shows the great solidarity that people have, regardless of religion, nationality.
Luljeta is 59 years old, she lived with her husband and three children in Bilisht in very difficult economic conditions. But, as if the poverty that overcame them was not enough, for 7 years, the head of the family was paralyzed by a serious illness.
However, those difficult days are over. Now Luljeta and her family can finally enjoy their new home. While “Fundjavë Ndryshe” will continue to be a support for the Përbasha family.
