Albion Hyka, 3 years old, is one of the children whose smile was returned by Albanians and “Fundjavë Ndryshe”. In less than two hours from the publication of the case, there was a mass awareness of Albanians everywhere, giving their contribution amounting to € 20,000.
When Albion was 4 months old, he had a hand problem. At the time, the family had performed all the checks, while doctors had told them he was too young for the intervention. However, when he turned 2 years old, he had problems with his leg.
In that period, the doctors told the parents that when he turns 5 they would perform an intervention. Unfortunately, Albion broke his leg, but this was fatal to his health as he could be paralyzed.
But the operation could not be performed in Albania as it was a rare and quite serious case. As hopes were dashed, a light at the end of the tunnel appeared for the 3-year-old. He has already performed the intervention in Turkey and is in good health.
