The Zyko family lived in Selce, a village an hour away from Pogradec. Last winter, the head of the family lost his life while going to town to buy food for the family. He suffered a heart attack as a result of the cold and left behind 4 orphaned children, 3 girls and 1 boy. The family appealed for help, as after the loss of their father they no longer had any support to live on.
There were no employment opportunities in the village while the house was being demolished. After “Fundjave Ndryshe” published their appeal, a contributor contacted the family and visited them closely. He donated a new house to the Zyko family in Pogradec.
“Fundjave Ndryshe” took care of furnishing and fulfilling every need for the family, while Valbona is expected to start a job soon. Also, “Fundjavë Ndryshe” will continue to be close to the family to help them with every need.
“We thank the contributor, who will remain anonymous but has helped us a lot. Also “Fundjavë Ndryshe”, which has been with us from the beginning. The house is very nice, big and warm. We still do not believe that this is our home, ” says the older daughter of the family.
