The beginning of the mission of “Fundjavë Ndryshe” was on a holiday. As almost everyone chooses to celebrate with their families, the head of the foundation, Arbër Hajdari decided to do something different. At that time he was only a student and he went to the poor families of unit 4 in Tirana. Although alone, he donated food to dozens of families, who could not afford to celebrate like everyone else.
“It was a holiday when I took this initiative. I got some food and spent lunch with some kids in need in unit number 4, where it was the poorest area. It has been the feast of Eid and Eid lunches are usually eaten by people at home with the table full. That day I told my dad that what was the point for us to celebrate with the table full when there are people who do not even know at all what this holiday is. Because they do not have the opportunity to celebrate. I told him that today I want to do something different, ” Hajdari confessed.
What was just a weekend, started to happen every day. Together with friends and then with the support of all Albanians, “Fundjavë Ndryshe” managed to be close to every family in need.
So even today, 5 years later, every holiday ” Fundjavë Ndryshe” continues to celebrate with people in need. To make happy thousands of children who do not have the chance to celebrate like many of their peers.
For this reason, the purpose of the foundation does not lie solely in the distribution of foods and basic products. But in the construction of hundreds of new homes, medical, legal prosecutions, education of children who do not have the opportunity.
To continue with other very important projects; Solidarity Center, which will include health services, vocational schools, libraries, etc. All these have been achieved in a very short time, but all was possible after the Albanians believed in “Fundjavë Ndryshe”. In the pure mission of a group of young people, who today have radically changed the lives of thousands of families. Whose will and work have ignited the humanism of every Albanian.
Charity does not make you poor!
