“Fundjavë Ndryshe” inaugurated the opening of the library in the Solidarity Center, which will be at the service of citizens, mostly to the people in need. The purpose of building the library is related to the concept that “Fundjavë Ndryshe” has, in seeing education as the best solution to the problem of poverty.
“The ultimate solution for people in need is education. We can build someone’s house, but it is temporary. We also need to invest in their education for the future, in order to have a better community tomorrow, “said the head of the foundation, Arbër Hajdari.
This activity took place in the presence of the Ambassador of Austria, Mr. Christian Steiner, as well as the General Director of SIGMA, Mr. Klaidi Çitozi.
“I am very happy to be here for a charity event. I congratulate you on this initiative. It is very important that companies working in Albania help people in need. Congratulations on selecting “Fundjavë Ndryshe”, which has set up an impressive center here in Tirana, for a very short time,” said Ambassador Steiner.
The collaboration of the company “SIGMA” with “Fundjavë Ndryshe” has started several years ago, where the staff of “SIGMA” has contributed to help a number of cases of families in need. But the focus of this collaboration has always been education. Recently, a project was developed to help a group of children in the village of Mamël, where the company contributed and provided them with transportation to school.
The social contribution of “SIGMA” was appreciated with the Gunther Geyer prize, in the value of 20,000 Euros, which they decided to donate to the library of “Fundjavë Ndryshe”.
“Together with ‘Fundjava Ndryshe’, we have done different projects, even during the pandemic we helped with food packages for hundreds of families. But, I believe this is the most beautiful project. People also need to nourish their souls and mind. This is the first step we are taking in this direction and I believe other interesting projects will follow, “concluded the General Director of” SIGMA “, Mr. Çitozi.
