Healthcare

Health is one of the main pillars of the activity of the “Different Weekend” Foundation.

Health services

For many families in need, the lack of access to health services constitutes a serious challenge that directly affects their quality of life and well-being.

For this reason, the foundation intervenes to provide treatment, care and support to individuals who cannot afford medical services.

What the health program includes

The health program focuses mainly on supporting emergency and life-critical cases, which cannot be treated in Albania.

These include specialized interventions and treatments such as:
•childhood cancer
•acute leukemia
•kidney transplant
•severe liver disease
•complex heart surgeries

Through agreements with private hospitals and international health institutions, the foundation enables the treatment of these cases in countries such as Italy, Turkey and Switzerland, providing access to services that are not available in the country.

The foundation follows and coordinates the entire process, from case identification to treatment and recovery.

Special attention is paid to children with special needs and orphans, who benefit from continuous care and specialized support.

Impact in figures

During the years of activity:
•213 cases have been treated abroad (Italy, Turkey, Switzerland)
•health cases have also been helped in Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro
•560 children with special needs have been treated and supported
•970 orphans have been sheltered and assisted

Health center

An important step in this direction is the construction of a health center at the Solidarity Center “Fundjavë Ndryshe”.

This center offers:
•free medical visits
•dental services
•basic health care for the community

Our approach

Health care is not just an immediate intervention.

We work step by step with individuals and families, ensuring that patients receive the necessary treatment and have support even after it is completed.

Why healthcare is vital

In many cases, timely intervention is the difference between life and death.

For this reason, the foundation focuses on cases that require immediate response and specialized treatment, giving patients a real chance to live.

Our philosophy

“Every life has value and deserves a chance.”
