The story of Pranvera Shaholli is extremely painful. In 2018, her family experienced a tragedy. The father killed the mother leaving 6 children orphaned. The father was arrested while Pranvera was forced to care for younger siblings.
Their father constantly violated their mother, while the economic conditions were miserable. For this reason, Pranvera has been forced to work at the age of 14 years.
But, after the murder of her mother in 2018, it was the “Fundjavë Ndryshe” foundation that got involved, immediately helping Pranvera and her siblings. Their apartment was reconstructed from scratch with modern living conditions.
During all this time “Fundjavë Ndryshe” has been close to the children. Helping them with all their needs, and be proud of their successes. Pranvera, like her younger sisters, is an excellent schoolgirl who works every day after school to support her family.
But today, Pranvera has another reason to be happy. She has won a full scholarship to study at UET, which was donated to her by “Fundjavë Ndryshe”. A scholarship that holds a very special symbolism, called “Elsa” Scholarship.
“Today I wanted to give her the scholarship, and as we announced in September, the scholarship we will give you is called the Elsa scholarship. It has the name of a special girl for us, as she no longer lives. She was a girl who learned a lot and had very good grades, and that is why we called the scholarship Elsa, ” said Arbër Hajdari.
During the show “Historia e Fundjavës”, Pranvera promised to fulfill her mother’s dream and to study very hard. Adding that she aspires to become a manager in the future. While Hajdari informed that the 19-year-old will also be the coordinator of “Fundjavë Ndryshe” for the city of Durrës.
